The prom

Lauren Parkers is in her mid-thirties and she has no children, no husband, just a boyfriend Peter Cassidy who doesn’t want children. 

And today once again Lauren and Peter have a heating argument about children as Lauren says: “Then tell me why you don’t want children, I want to know why you take away the only thing I truly desire more than anything…” 

Peter on the verge to cry answers: “Be… because I don’t want them to be… I don’t want them to have the childhood I had… I… I don’t want them to be bullied… I don’t want…” 

Lauren trying to speak but Peter says: “That’s final… don’t ever talk to me about that… please…” 

He leaves the kitchen for his game room where he spends much of his day playing online with friends when he doesn’t work at the local factory. Lauren hates that so she leaves the house for fresh air and walks down to the park near her former highschool, sitting on the bench Lauren watches all the girls and boys dressed in formal dress and tuxedo… at this moment she starts remembering her own prom… thinking about the picture her mom took… she was so pretty in her blue dress waiting for her boyfriend Ivan Carter in front of her parents’ house with her bouquet of flowers, the prom was unforgettable, they danced for hours and for everyone they were the Queen and King of prom and Lauren’s mom wrote with the picture:

However the dream turned into a nightmare when Ivan was killed in a car accident, that day Lauren and Ivan were home until Lauren said she needed to be with her parents to get her stuff and Ivan answered he needed to go anyway to pick up some gas and groceries and he wouldn’t be long. But unfortunately, on his way to the gas station, a drunk driver on the wrong side of the road hit him hard while he was waiting over the stop light, the whole community was sad for Ivan’s family but even more for Lauren since the police found in his car a diamond ring because he was about to propose Lauren… 

Back to present, Lauren can feel her eyes red due to tears, she wants to reach her handkerchief but feels someone is watching and she’s right since an old man is staring at her and he’s coming towards her as he says: “Do not be afraid of me Lauren… I know everything about you… your true husband and this useless boyfriend of yours… take this vial I give it to you for free and give it to him in his soda tonight… when your boyfriend is going to play… put it in his drink and I can promise you he will be the daughter you’ve always wanted and your dead fiancé will be the husband you always wanted… have a happy life Lauren Carter…” 

Lauren is speechless as she takes the vial and before she could speak to him again, how he knows so much about her, he vanished into thin air. Later that same day, Lauren is home getting dinner ready as she hears Peter screaming towards his screen. 

Finally, Lauren says: “Dinner’s ready babe… come down!” 

But Peter says: “Bring it to the game room… I can’t stop the game now…” 

Lauren sighs as she looks into her pockets as she suddenly hears the following whisper: “Drop it in his soda… have a happy life Lauren…” 

In her hand the vial given by this mysterious man, she drops the whole thing in the soda and brings food in Peter’s game room who doesn’t say a word, he eats the whole thing while shooting a soldier in his Call of Duty. 

After drinking his whole soda, he starts feeling weird, losing the game to the point that one of his friends says on the microphone “Are you a newbie or what…” 

Peter loses his temper until he finally says: “I’m… I’m sorry guys… I better log off… and sleeping… sorry… see you later…” 

To his friends’ astonishment Peter logs off and starts sleeping in his game room thing he usually does only around 3 a.m. at least. 

In the meantime, Lauren is in her room reading her book, she feels so sleepy all the sudden, she falls asleep and starts dreaming… She sees herself the day Ivan died but instead of saying goodbye Lauren asks him to come with her. They go together to Lauren’s house and that same evening in a romantic point of view of her parents’ house, Ivan proposes to Lauren tearing and saying yes… the following days Lauren is like in a fairytale, she organizes her wedding with her mom so happy for her daughter since she really likes Ivan… On Lauren’s 18^th birthday, April 16^th 2007 it’s the most beautiful day of her life, she walks down the aisle with her father and she says “I do” to the love of her life. After her honeymoon, Lauren is happy to say she’s pregnant and she’s expecting a girl… 

While Lauren is dreaming about her life with the true love of her life, Peter is living a nightmare as soon as he closed his eyes, all his gamers friends disappear same for his passion, he sees his memories vanishing, his years of being bullied, his school life but one thing still remains it’s Lauren’s face but his love for her changes and same for her… he starts calling her mommy and she calls him baby girl… Peter is clueless on what’s happening until he feels his body tingling and finally a horrible pain starting with his muscles he gained during college are reduced to nothing, his hairs fall off his body giving him the appearance he had back in his teenage years especially since he’s only 5.6 ft. tall. On his bald head hair grows first blonde, it grows chestnut and very long and luscious till his mid-back. Under his eyelids closed his eyes change color from blue to brown, his face is all contracted with pain as it gets feminine features, his face is rounder, softer and cuter, his nose is smaller, his lips plump and gets so kissable and cute, his throat is hurting him as his Adam’s apple is crushing down as his vocal cords tighten to give him this cute girly voice. On his small chest pushing two C cup breast as his penis reverts inside to make him looking like a teen girl… 

The same instant her physical transformation ends, Peter experiences the worst headache she ever had, finishing to make her forgetting the rest of her life till her own name… she sees Lauren gently smiling at her as she says: “Hi hunnie this is mommy… your name is now Cassidy Louise Carter you were born on March 31^st 2009, you’re 15 years old and soon you’re going to have your first prom night. We are so close you and I hunnie, you share your secrets with me and you know you can tell me anything and you know I’d never be mad at you even though it’s a bad thing, you’re also a real daddy’s girl, you’re so close with your father and share a lot of passions together… For some months you and I are going to different places in town to find you the perfect prom dress and we found the perfect one… in burgundy color matching your beautiful tanned skin and your adorable braces smile…” 

At this moment of the mental transformation, old Peter’s game room is changing into Cassidy’s room, walls are light pink with posters of her favorite artist Taylor Swift, the shelves with numerous video games change for books and medals since she’s a very good dancer, the desk initially full of pizza boxes is now cleared with just a notebook and different exercises books, the TV set and all the game consoles change for a make-up table with all what is necessary… inside the empty cupboard there’s now plenty girl clothes laundry, jeans, tops, t-shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts and also some dance outfits. Cassidy herself is still changing, from her old baggy boy clothes, she’s now wearing for sleeping a cute pair of pink panties with white tank top as metal brackets with wires and red rubber bands appear out of nowhere in her mouth as her teeth gets straighten a bit… 

Outside the world is changing, no one seem to remember about Peter Cassidy, Lauren and Cassidy don’t live anymore in apartment since Lauren and Ivan live together in beautiful house upon the hills, trees are around them and they love it… 

At 7 a.m. sharp, Cassidy opens her eyes, the sun outside is bright already and she can hear noises in the house… must be her mom preparing breakfast… she stands up and gets a quick shower before dressing up in jeans and large t-shirt she borrowed from her father or boyfriend she’s not sure. 

Now time to eat, she joins her mom: “Hey mom” 

Lauren smiles: “Oh hey hunnie… how’s my baby girl?” 

Cassidy to answer: “I’m good… I’m excited for today!” 

Lauren says: “Aw me too baby girl… I’m going to pamper you all myself… I loved this part soo much when I was your age and your grandmother pampered me… but first eat something…” 

After a very delicious breakfast, Cassidy is pampered, Lauren does her daughter’s hair, her make-up as well, she tries on the dress that fit perfectly and suddenly her father knocks at the door and is speechless: “Oh hunnie you look fabulous in this dress, I still remember like yesterday your mom as the prom Queen and you’ll be the prom Queen too with this… this is from your grandmother… she wants you to wear them… I love you princess…” 

Lauren and Cassidy go emotional and after a hug, she puts on the necklace and earrings from Ivan’s mom, finally the heels are on and Cassidy is ready, Lauren looks in awe her daughter: “Baby girl… you’re stunning… you’re definitely a Queen like mommy… let’s take some pictures…” 

They go together outside, Cassidy strikes a pose and among the pictures Lauren choses this one with Cassidy smiling irradiating with happiness and love as Lauren writes:
